Sandy Basin pool opens tomorrow

The Sandy Basin swimming pool will open for the summer tomorrow at 10 a.m.  The community is reminded that this is a community pool and that no lifeguard is on duty.  Parents must monitor and maintain the safety of their children.  Please be respectful of all using the pool.  The pool will be open from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Friday and Saturday, from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday through Thursday, from noon to 7 p.m. Monday, and from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Sunday.

 

Barstow mud run

The inaugural Barstow Mud Run 5K will be held starting at 9 a.m. Saturday at the Veterans Home of California-Barstow.  There will be obstacles, awards, and lots of mud.  A mini mud run for children ages 5-13 will take place at 10 a.m.  Proceeds benefit the veterans home and Barstow Kiwanis Club’s youth programs.  For more information, visit www.barstowmudrun.com.

Reggie’s will offer a Mother’s Day dinner Sunday from 5-9 p.m.  For reservations or more information, call 380-6717.

 

Movie at Fort Irwin Library

The Fort Irwin Library will show the movie “The Muppets” at noon on Saturday as part of their Saturday Afternoon at the Library program.  A different movie is shown every second Saturday of each month.  For more information, call 380-3462.
