Veterans History Project
Local veterans interested in sharing their story are invited to participate in the Veterans History Project, a national initiative sponsored by the Red Cross.Â The program was established by Congress in 2000 to preserve the stories of veterans and civilians supporting U.S. war efforts as far back as World War I.Â Interested veterans will be interviewed by Red Cross volunteers.Â Each interview will be sent to the Library of Congress and the veteran will be given a DVD copy of the interview and a dedicated website at www.loc.gov/vets.Â For more information, call Bill Havican at 380-6140 or 380-3697 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
