On May 19, the Fort Irwin’s American Red Cross Youth Program volunteers facilitated a supply drive to collect items for the Fort Irwin Stray Facility. Youth volunteers worked outside the Commissary from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. and collected an estimated $779.77 in pet food and cleaning supplies from Fort Irwin community residents. Supplies were donated to the Fort Irwin Veterinary Clinic in support of the overwhelming numbers of strays the vet clinic has to house in their stray facility.
