Fort Irwin celebrates Army’s 237th birthday

The oldest and youngest Fort Irwin Soldiers and the oldest and youngest Fort Irwin civilian employees gather to cut a cake representing the National Training Center and Fort Irwin June 14 at Dining Facility #1 in honor of the Army’s 237th birthday. Sgt. Mavericks pitcher Willy Kesler caught the throw that Hernandez made. Hernandez is the National Training Center and Fort Irwin noncommissioned officer of the year for fiscal year 2012. The Mavericks celebrated the Army’s birthday with Soldiers and family members of Fort Irwin and the National Training Center.
