Volunteer Spotlight: Aylissa Koch

1. Where do you volunteer?

I volunteer at the Oasis Pool, Post Library and with the Red Cross Youth Group.

2. What do you do as a volunteer?

I am a swim teacher aide at the pool, I help with the library’s story time (read stories and do crafts) with kids, and I participate in whatever activity the Youth Group is working on.

3. What do you get out of volunteering?

I enjoy helping others and seeing that my actions make others happy.

4. How did you get started as a volunteer?

My mom was the Red Cross Youth Group coordinator and I started going with her and from there it branched out into helping at other places.

5. What advice would you give someone about volunteering?

Always go in with a positive attitude and do your best. Do it for the joy of making others happy!
