Lead 6 Sends – June 28, 2012

Brig. Gen. Terry Ferrell

To all you warriors out there (regardless of MOS, in uniform or out, DA Civilian or contract employee) you have earned this opportunity leave.  You have earned this leave to re-charge after a challenging but beautifully executed series of rotations that have properly trained Soldiers to go to combat.  Well done!

Please spend this time with your family and friends doing something worthwhile and that will make positive memories.  The High Desert is perfectly situated for you to get out and do or see something new.  Please take care of each other and come back safely to our great community and your great formations.

If you are a single Soldier, know that our community has plenty of activities or BOSS events over the opportunity leave period for you to be involved in.

I end this note with these words – you and your Families make me proud to be a Soldier and a member of the National Training Center and Fort Irwin.  See you on the high ground!

Lead, Train, Win!
