Red, White, and Boom! bash

Come on out to Fort Irwin’s second annual Red, White, and Boom! bash on the  Fourth of July beginning at 4:30 p.m. at Army Field.  There will be live  entertainment, carnival games, children’s activities, and of course, fireworks.  Tickets for the carnival games and activities are on sale at Leisure Travel Services, in Bldg. 976, and at Strike Zone Bowling Center and Bldg. 563.  Tickets are $5 in advance or $7 at the event.  If you’re looking for even more red, white, and blue fun, check out the Red, White, and Boom 2k/5k fun run at 8 a.m. Saturday at Coyote Activity Center, the  Soldiers-only Island Pool Party from 8-11 p.m. on Saturday, and the Bowl for Liberty Event Sunday at Strike Zone Bowling Center where kids bowl free from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. with a paid adult.  For more information, call 380-5879.

 

International spouse support group

There will be a meeting of the international spouse support group from 10 a.m. to noon Wednesday at Crackerjack Flats Neighborhood Center.  All foreign-born spouses are welcome.  The group provides an opportunity to meet other spouses in similar situations, share resources and information, and friendship.  For more information, call Maritza Ramirez at 380-3598 or email Maritza.l.ramirez@us.army.mil. 

 

The NTC has a TV station!

Did you know that the NTC and Fort Irwin have their very own television station?  You can tune in to channel 29 on Verizon-served TVs or channel 18 on MDU-served TVs to watch original programming all about the National Training Center and Fort Irwin.  NTC-TV is also seeking volunteers interested in all aspects of video production.  No experience is necessary.  For more information, call Ken Drylie at 380-2452 or email Kenneth.drylie@us.army.mil.
