It is fantastic to have you all back from Opportunity Leave. Well done on enjoying your time off in a responsible way. As you are getting back into the swing of things, you will notice a lot of new faces at work and in your community. Please bring them on board with dignity and respect. Make things easier for them by teaching and caring as opposed to letting them figure it out by themselves. Our training mission here is about to go into high gear starting with Rotation 12-09 (1/1 AD), and I need all of you to give those Soldiers, who will be heading into harm’s way, your best effort. I need you to know that our training load between now and the Christmas Opportunity Leave period will be great. Those Soldiers deploying to Afghanistan need your expertise and professionalism as they come here to conduct their Mission Rehearsal Exercises. Our collective mission here at the National Training Center is more critical now than ever before and is certainly one of the most important jobs in the Army.
I end this message with these words: I am proud of you and your families for all that you are doing and will do. You are truly the strength behind our great Army and this caring community. See you on the high ground.
Lead, Train, Win!
