News Briefs – August 23, 2012

Designated Off Limits

Sam’s Smoke Shop, at 1620 West Main Street in Barstow, and the Phillips 76 gas station on East Main Street in Barstow have been designated off-limits to all Soldiers stationed at the National Training Center and Fort Irwin.

The nature of business conducted in these locations has been found to be detrimental to the health and welfare of Soldiers. Fort Irwin’s leadership is taking this action to protect Soldiers’ health and welfare.
