Army Community Service is the home to the Army Volunteer Corps, which is the center of volunteer recruitment, referral, recognition and advocacy efforts at the National Training Center and Fort Irwin. Volunteers are needed in a wide variety of positions throughout the installation. Through volunteer service, individuals can learn or enhance skills, get to know the community and meet new people, build their resumes, and more.
In 2011 there were 20,686 volunteer hours recorded. We currently have more than 600 volunteers – come join the force! See all the available volunteer opportunities on Fort Irwin by visiting the ARMY OneSource web site.
If you need a paper copy of the opportunities, the Volunteer Office maintains a list of available positions and job descriptions. Stop by the office in building 561 at the corner of Avenue G and 3rd Street or call 380-8422.
