Child & Youth Fee
On October 1, the Army Child & Youth Fee Policy for School Year, fiscal year 2012-23, will be implemented. The School Year 2012-13 Army Child & Youth Fee policy is based on Department of Defense policy and will be implemented for installation operated CYS Service programs. By law, military child care fees are based on total family income (TFI), not military rank or civilian grade. Military services subsidize fees on a sliding scale for every Family regardless of rank, pay grade or income.
The School Year 2012-13 Army Child & Youth Fee Policy addresses patron fees for Child Development Centers (CDC’s), School Age Care (SAC), Family Child Care (FCC), Middle School & Teen programs, SKIES Unlimited Instructional programs, Youth Sports & Fitness, and Army Community Based programs.
The Army Child & Youth Fee Policy began transitioning to single child care fees for each TFI category in School Year 2010-11, with a three-year individualized phase plan for each installation. The Army’s School Year 2012-13 planned target fees were adjusted to comply with updated DoD fees and fee ranges.
We have yet to receive the new official fee schedule from Family, Morale, Welfare and Recreation at Installation Management Command, but we wanted all our patrons to know that a change in fees is pending final approval. We will share the new fee schedule as soon as it is received.
Should you have any questions in the meantime, contact your Center Director or the CYSS Coordinator at 380-2268.
