The place to get your thrills

Need to get air? How about a few thousand feet off the ground? Or, do you have the need to feel the spray of river water from a Class 4 rapid? Well, if you like skydiving or whitewater rafting, look no further than down Goldstone Road to begin your adventure.

Outdoor Recreation, building 4100 on Goldstone Rd., can get you started on their High Adventure trips that may consist of activities such as skydiving, river rafting, bungee jumping, rappelling, skiing, snowboarding, land sailing, etc.

If you have a specific adventure, or even an idea for an adventure you or your friends would like to go on, Outdoor Recreation Specialists can make recommendations and assist you with planning a trip. The office has destinations locally and afar for your consideration.

One upcoming High Adventure trip scheduled is a bungee jumping antic off the “Bridge to Nowhere,” Sept. 22. (If you’re really interested, you’ll call ODR to find out the location). The transportation cost is $20 and the jumping fee is $79. Register by Saturday to book a trip. Call 380-4327. The office is closed Mondays and Tuesdays.

Oh, the ODR also has a variety of other services including equipment rentals, a fully equipped bicycle repair shop, RV and mini-storage rental spaces, and an RV camp site. But, who wants to camp when you can go skydiving or bungee jumping, right?
