There are so many organizations within the United States that are non-profit and need our help because of a lack of funding. This year we have 1,900 non-profit companies that have been approved by the federal government to do business with us through the campaign.
Look through the 2012 CFC donation booklet to see who can use the help. Unit CFC coordinators throughout Fort Irwin have the CFC materials and will be happy to assist you. You will find a great number of companies that you know and believe can use your help this year. If you do not have a booklet, please visit the Army Community Service, building 561 (Financial Readiness Office), to review a copy.
The CFC is conducted only once a year, so taking advantage of a tax write-off at the same time you are assisting one or more of your favorite charities, is a good thing.
The mission of CFC is simple – to promote and support philanthropy through a program that is employee focused, cost-efficient, and effective in providing all federal employees the opportunity to improve the quality of life for all. The CFC does all of that!

So, why is the CFC for everyone? Because it is honorable to give to those less fortunate than ourselves and it is even better to give to a charity we believe in and one that has been approved.
