Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. poetry contest

The National Training Center and Fort Irwin EO and EEO Offices are hosting a Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. poetry contest in the Fort Irwin community. High school students, Military, Family members, and Department of the Army civilians are all invited to participate.

The winner will have the opportunity to read his or her winning poem during the Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. commemoration on Jan. 9, 2013.

The poetry topic: “Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. – The Whole Man”

Please limit your poem to one page, double-spaced. Contest submissions can be turned into the EO/EEO Office, building 577, at 2nd and South Loop Street. They can also be e-mailed to: octavius.d.jackson.mil@mail.mil or monique.r.jennings.civ@mail.mil. Contest ends Dec. 23.
