Dec. 2

Veterans Bingo volunteer opportunity. 9 a.m. California State Veterans Home in Barstow. Volunteer through the Red Cross and give back to your High Desert community. Fort Irwin Red Cross, 380-3697.

Dec. 5

HIRED! Program “College Information” workshop. 2 – 3 p.m. Building 1300 on Meuse Argonne Street. The Hired! Apprenticeship Program provides 15-18 year-old youth with paid, professionally-managed, career-exploration opportunities in Morale, Welfare and Recreation operations. Meagan Silva, 380-3732.

Dec. 10

Now through Dec. 10 order a Holiday Candy Gram. EDGE and Hired! programs in building 1300 and the Middle School and Teen Center in building 1315. Candy Grams are $1 – $3 depending on the candy selected and will be delivered anywhere on post Dec. 11 – 13. For questions call 380-5816 or 380-8412.

Dec. 18

Now through Dec. 18 have your gifts wrapped. 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. and 4 – 6 p.m., weekdays and weekends. Exchange lobby. Let your favorite Family Readiness Group or private organization wrap all your gifts for the holidays!
