Q: What do you do as a volunteer?
A: I am a FRG leader and a fundraiser at the company
Q: What do you get out of volunteering?
A: Enhancing esprit de corps and getting to link-up families with the community; offer advise where it’s needed, and; help those in need find Fort Irwin a comfortable community to be part of.
Q: How did you get started as a volunteer?
A: I started as a volunteer by helping my former FRG leader Sgt. Williams set up meetings and help in conceptualization of fundraising activities. Thereafter, I took over when she transitioned out of the Army.
Q: What advice would you give to someone thinking about volunteering?
A: I would say that there is no greater satisfaction a volunteer gets when he/she sees the people helped have made it to greater heights.
