New Year’s Eve “New Orleans Style” family friendly celebration. 6 p.m. – 12:30 a.m. Strike Zone Bowling Center. Unlimited bowling and shoe rental. Finger food buffet. “King and Queen of Mardi Gras” contests, hourly. Prizes and giveaways. Apple cider toast. Couples: $27.50; Singles: $15; Kids, 10-17, $8; Kids, 4-9, $5; Kids under 4, free. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., “The Whole Man” Commemoration. 10 – 11 a.m. Sandy Basin Community Center. NTC EO/EEO Offices, 380-4963.

Now through Jan. 9, register for the “We’ve Come a Long Way, Baby!” conference, Jan. 17, by Military and Civilian Spouses Club. Registration is $15 and includes light breakfast and lunch.
