SUCCESSFUL TRIP: Command Sgt. Maj. Dale Perez, the Fort Irwin Garrison command sergeant major, led a group of Fort Irwin volunteers to Yorba Linda, Nov. 17, to pick up 86 donated boxes of food and donated furniture to furnish the soon to be renovated ACS Barstow Outreach Center. The trip was met with total success. A local business, Barstow Transfer and Storage, benevolently donated a moving truck and driver to assist in picking up items on behalf of the Fort Irwin Outreach Center and the Soldiers of Fort Irwin. All of this was accomplished on a weekend day by several of our hard chargers. The picture displayed (left to right) includes Mr. and Mrs. Blehm (FFAM So. Cal., a Charitable Non-Profit Organization), Lori Picard (Fort Irwin Survivor Outreach Services Coordinator), and Better Opportunities for Single Soldiers volunteers to include the BOSS President, Spc. Kendrick Barnett. A big thank you goes out to all of those who made this trip a success.
