Rosy start to the new year

Fort Irwin Soldiers, Families attend Rose Parade and Rose Bowl game, Jan. 1

Color_Guard_Rose_BowlSoldiers and Family members from this installation got a chance to see the Tournament of Roses Parade and the Rose Bowl in Pasadena up close, Jan. 1

A generous invitation by the Pasadena Tournament of Roses Foundation provided tickets to grandstand seats in the middle of the parade route and to seats at the Rose Bowl to see the match between Stanford and Wisconsin.

The installation also supported the Rose Bowl game with a color guard comprised of senior non-commissioned officers from various units. The National Training Center and Fort Irwin Commander Brig. Gen. Terry Ferrell, and Mrs. Robbie Ferrell, attended the game as well.

Our attendance to these annual events is becoming a tradition. Next year if you’re here during the winter holiday leave, try to take advantage of an opportunity to see these world-renown activities.
