In addition to overseeing the safe arrival and departure of rotational Soldiers, Sgt. 1st Class Stephanie Nicholson is actively involved with Civil Air Patrol Voyager Squadron 120 headquartered in Victorville, Calif. She is a member of the CAP and recently hosted a tour for Squadron adult members and youth cadets to the Southern California Logistics Airbase.
Civil Air Patrol Auxiliary is a Congressionally chartered, federally supported, non-profit corporation that serves as the official auxiliary of the United States Air Force. The CAP performs three main functions – Emergency services/Disaster Relief (to include Homeland Security); Aerospace education, and; Cadet training. Membership in CAP consists of approximately 25,500 cadets and more than 35,000 adult volunteers that facilitate a program centered on four elements: Leadership, Aerospace, Fitness and Character. These dedicated volunteers mentor and transform youth ages 12 to 20 into responsible citizens and aerospace leaders.
