March is National Brain Injury Aware- ness Month and Fort Irwin medical personnel will be informing the com- munity about the symptoms and dan- gers of traumatic brain injuries.

arch is National Brain Injury Aware- ness Month and Fort Irwin medical personnel will be informing the com- munity about the symptoms and dangers of traumatic brain injuries.

Weekly radio broadcasts on KNTC 88.3 FM during the month, information booths in various locations, and activities with chil- dren will be held to provide the community with awareness on the topic. Tune in to “The Heat” at 8 a.m. on March 5, 12, 19 and 26th and listen to subject matter experts from United States Army Medical Department Activity here. Take your children to the post library, at Fort Irwin in building 331, on March 12, 14, 19 or 21 for a kid’s reading activity and coloring contest. First, second and third place coloring contest winners will be announced the contest materials can also be picked up and turned in with Glynis Johnson, of Blue Team at the Mary Walker Clinic, throughout the month to participate in the contest.

The MEDDAC personnel will also be holding the event, “Bowling for Brain Injuries”at Strike Zone from noon to 5 p.m., March 22nd. For more information on the above activities, visit the MEDDAC Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/WeedArmy.
