Water treatment plant progress

Sean McCarthy, district engineer for San Bernardino, California State Water Resources Control Board, examines water tapped from the EDR (electro-dialysis reversal) filtration pipes at Fort Irwin’s new water treatment plant. The plant is scheduled to be completed in May. McCarthy was on a tour, Feb. 23, conducted by the construction project manager, Los Angeles District Army Corps of Engineers, as part of the permitting process. At left is Adeliano Servellan, lead operator for Irwin Water Works, who assisted with the tour.
