Youth Sports Wrestling Season Registration Jan 26 – Feb 28

Registration has started for wrestling season. Children will learn the fundamentals of different wrestling styles and techniques. They will also have the opportunity to compete against their peers. Must be between the ages of 6 – 16 years. The season is March 12 – May 3, 2018. Cost $5. African American/Black History Month Celebration, 11:30 a.m. – 1:00 p.m., Sandy Basin Community Center, Tippecanoe St. Bldg. 4553

The Fort Irwin EO/EEO offices along with Regimental Support Squadron, 11th Armored Cavalry Regiment, cordially invites the community to participate in the African American/Black History Month Celebration. The theme for this year’s event is “African Americans in Times of War”. This event will feature guest speaker Lt. Col. Lajohnne Morris, the NTC Staff Judge Advocate, as well as a jazz band, educational displays, and a food sampling provided by Sam Adams catering. Learn how to use the library’s various online resources and applications using your laptop, tablet, or smartphone. Each class will offer those that attend step-by-step instruction, from downloading the application to navigating that specific resource with ease. Bring your own device. This class involves the essentials in setting up a calling tree, including: overview of the FRG; role of key callers; working with the Family Support network; and crisis intervention. There are plenty of handouts in this workshop to launch your FRG into the resource highway. Role playing and practical applications makes this three-hour training fun and useful. Free. Black History Month Movie Event: Hidden Figures, 5 p.m. – 8 p.m., Post Library, Second St. Bldg. 331
