Parenting Class: This class will explore effective ways to discipline your child. We will address a variety of issues including sibling rivalry, how to deal with tantrums and lying. If you are the parent of a 2- to 12-year old, this class is for you! The class is held at the Child Development Center. These are classes 4-6 in a series of six classes.
P.R.E.P. (Couple’s Relationship Enhancement Workshop): This six-week workshop is intended to address issues such as negotiating and resolving conflict, power struggles, communication challenges and trust issues. Whether your relationship is need of some “fine tuning” or a major overhaul, this workshop is sure to enhance your understanding of your partner and the way you relate to one another. Classes run 1:30-3:30 p.m. at Chapel 2. Classes will be Nov. 4 and 18, Dec. 2, 9, 16 and 23.
Bundles for Babies: New (or new again) parents are invited to hear information on financial education and healthy pregnancy. Layettes valued at more than $65 are provided by the Air Force Aid Society plus more freebies. There will be presentations by Airman and Family Readiness and a 412th Medical Group clinic nurse. This class is open to all services.
Managing Anger: This workshop is for anyone who would like to better understand anger or who struggles with other’s (or their own) emotions at times. This training is a four-part seminar, each class being two hours each.
New Pregnancy Orientation (OBO) and Dads4Dads Class 1: This one-session class will help all expectant parents to navigate their way through pregnancy. Participants will get information on the New Parent Support Program, steps to enroll their baby for benefits, nutrition, safety exercises, importance of good dental care, and information on how to have a safe pregnancy. This class also serves as Class 1 for the Dads4Dads class. All dads are highly encouraged to attend! Dads4Dads Class 2 is offered 9:30-11:30 a.m., the fourth Thursday of each month in Bldg. 5513, Mental Health/ Family Advocacy conference room. Dads4Dads Class 3 is held quarterly (next class is Dec.10) and is for dads whose baby is already home.
