On Nov. 5, 412th Test Wing leadership will host the National American Indian Heritage Month celebration at the Oasis Community Center from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
The celebration will include remarks from leadership, entertainment by the Blue Mountain Tribe band, a tribute to Native American servicepersons, slide show presentations and a local Native American artifact display.
This event will kick off NAIHM here at Edwards where several events are planned.

Nov. 5: National American Indian Heritage Month Celebration at Oasis
Nov. 10: 5K Native American Fun Run. Run begins and ends at the Bowling Alley. Start time is 7:30 a.m.
Nov. 12: National American Indian Heritage Month Luncheon at Club Muroc. Menu includes Indian Tacos, fry bread dessert and other tasty Native American inspired eats. Guest speaker will be Dr. Bruce Love who will talk about 8,000 years of Native American presence at Edwards AFB. A music performance will be performed by Jimmy Lee Young Band.
