A C-5 Super Galaxy cargo plane from Travis Air Force Base, California, landed at Edwards AFB to be loaded with three fuel trucks belonging to the 412th Logistics Readiness Squadron Nov. 23, 2015. The purpose of the deployment tasking was to assist President Barack Obama’s visit to Paris for the 2015 United Nations Climate Change Conference. The fuel trucks could be used to refuel to refuel the president’s plane, Air Force One.
The 412th Logistics and Readiness Squadron responded to a hot tasker issued straight from the top.
Edwards AFB was called upon by the Air Force to assist with President Barack Obama’s trip to Paris, France. He arrived in Paris this past weekend for the 2015 United Nations Climate Change Conference.
The tasking was for Edwards to provide three fuel trucks for the president’s visit, which had to be in place, in Paris, on Thanksgiving Day.

The 412th LRS scheduled a C-5 Super Galaxy cargo plane from Travis Air Force Base, California, and loaded it with three empty R-11 fuel trucks Nov. 23.
Although the mission did not specify what the fuel trucks would be used for, it’s possible they could have be used to fuel Air Force One or other executive transports.
Obama has since left Paris and the fuel trucks are scheduled to be returned to their home in the High Desert soon.
