Through our character – an opportunity to reflect on important issues in our community
Napoleon said, “A leader is a dealer in hope.” Hope is a most valuable commodity. In fact when someone does not have any hope they are vulnerable to thoughts of self-harm. The hope that we often need isn’t that we will win the lottery or become famous. It is as simple as hoping someone will notice us or treat us kindly. Think about how you can become a “dealer in hope” so that you might lead others into a brighter future.
Through our prayers — an opportunity to pray for the needs of our community
Your word dear Lord tells us that when we place our hope in you we will not be disappointed. Help us to keep looking to you so as to be hope-filled and able to dispense hope to those around us.
