The Sexual Assault Awareness, Alcohol and Drug Awareness, and Child Abuse Awareness Color Splash 5K Fun Walk/Run was April 6. The run was an example of activities in which Family Advocacy brings awareness to the issue of Child Abuse and Neglect during Child Abuse Awareness Month. Everyone from Team Edwards can play a part in preventing child abuse and neglect by reducing distractions, preventing accidents, and keeping our kids safe. Don’t risk your child’s safety. Learn how to balance technology and daily activities to reduce distractions. Careful supervision can help prevent accidents or injuries. Seconds can make a difference! This was the third year of the Color-Splashed 5k Fun Run/Walk. Each year, there have been more participants as well as other organizations wanting to duplicate the run for their functions. Also, a big thanks to Nancy Koch-Costillo for producing the signs (through Graphics), and William Shea at the Edwards Commissary for the fruit and water donations
