High Desert Warrior 2015 Rates

Base newspaper for the National Training Center and Fort Irwin

Mission: Training for today’s mission; Preparing for tomorrow’s requirements.

Major tenants: Northrop Grumman, IAP, Raytheon, and 60+ smaller contractors.

Major Units: 11th Armored Calvary Regiment, 916th Support Brigade, National Training Center Operations Group

Remote annexes: None

Substantial interaction with other bases, services: MCLB Barstow for equipment shipping and receiving. Nellis AFB for Green Flag exercises.

Major facilities on base: 20 bed trauma hospital, Commissary, PX

Extended education facilities on base: Colleges that have annexes on base include Park and Webster Universities and Barstow College.

Projected increase/decrease in personnel: No substantial change foreseen in near future.
