Name:  Senior Airman Nicholas Covello

Unit:  412th Security Forces Squadron

Job title:  Unit scheduler/trainer

Job description and its impact on the overall mission: I am responsible for scheduling appointments for over 350 personnel and for conducting essential training such as cardiopulmonary resuscitation, utility terrain vehicles, Defender’s Edge, self-aid buddy care including moulage, and other subjects mandated by the master training plan.

Time in the military: 3 years

Time at Edwards AFB: 2.5 years

Family:  Mother, father, and a younger sister.

Hometown:   Clermont, Florida

Hobbies:  I enjoy going to the beach.

Why did you join the military?  I was influenced by a friend who had previously joined.

Where do you see yourself in 10 or 20 years?  I see myself retired from the military, a college graduate with a criminal justice degree and married with lots of kids.

What do you do for fun here?  I spend time at the beaches and I go jogging with my dog, Goat.

What’s your favorite Air Force memory or story?  My favorite memory is my deployment to Afghanistan.

What accomplishments are you most proud of?  The accomplishments I am most proud of are earning Senior Airman below-the-zone and the progression I have made in the Air Force.

Who is your role model?  My father, Stephen Covello, is my role model.

How does your job help support the test and evaluation mission here at Edwards?  My job directly contributes to a fully qualified and healthy defense force by training and scheduling of all Defenders at Edwards Air Force Base.

What is your dream job and why?  My dream job was to become a member of security forces. I enjoy what I do!

What do you like most about Edwards?  I like the people and the landscape of Edwards.

If you won a million dollars, what is the first thing you would buy?  The first thing I would buy is a beach house in Florida.
