Davis-Monthan is scheduled to host the Second Annual DMAFB Pat’s Run Troop Run on Saturday, April 25 at 8 a.m. The ruck/walk/run will begin at the Benko Fitness Center and will be 4.2 miles long. This event can be enjoyed by all family members! Cost for adults is $20.00 and children 12 and under are $5.00. Deadline to register for this event is April 8.

Pat’s Run benefits the Pat Tillman Foundation/Tillman Military Scholars Program. Pat Tillman’s played professional football for the Arizona Cardinals. After the attack on September 11, 2001, Tillman notified the Cardinals that he was leaving football to enlist in the U.S. Army. Tragically, on April 22, 2004, Tillman’s unit was ambushed in eastern Afghanistan. His heroic efforts to provide cover for his fellow soldiers ultimately resulted in his tragic death.

The Pat Tillman Foundation was founded in 2004. It invests in military veterans and their spouses through educational scholarships. To date, the foundation has invested in 347 military scholarships totaling $6M across 98 Universities. 

An official Pat’s Run tee-shirt will be provided upon registration and will be mailed to the POCs. All registrants will be notified of time and location to pick up their shirts. Deadline to register is April 8.
