Old Pueblo Flight 12 held its annual summer social July 9 at the Davis-Monthan Community Center. The flight shared the evening of food, drink and comradery with Maj. Gen. Andrew Croft, 12th Air Force commander; Col. Mike Drowley, 355th Wing commander; Col. Victor Pereira, 355th Wing vice commander; Col. Jeffrey Hogan, 355th Fighter Group commander; Col. Jason Pifer, 563rd Rescue Group commander; and Lt. Col. Sam Moreland, 357th Fighter Squadron commander. Members of the local Air Force Association chapter and Red River Valley Fighter Pilots Association also joined.
As a backdrop for the event the flight showcased its members in a photo presentation from their flying days. Collectively the flight’s members represent decades of service, a multitude of aircraft types and missions spread across numerous conflicts.
The Old Pueblo Flight will meet for lunch Sept. 19, Oct. 17, Nov. 21 and the Christmas awards dinner Dec. 5 at the Davis-Monthan Air Force Base Community Center.
