Hello everyone, and thanks for checking out the December 3rd issue of Aerotech News and Review! Could the ever-elusive goal of bringing viable commercial airline service to Aerospace Valley travelers be moving within reach? Leaders from the City of Palmdale, USAF Materiel Command, and military contractors on and around Air Force Plant 42 are taking their case to Air Force Secretary Frank Kendall. Backed by a data-driven airline service strategy and bi-partisan support from U.S. Congress members representing the area, the goal is to win Kendall’s approval and pave the way for negotiation of a new Joint Use Agreement between the city and Plant 42. It’s a runway our community has taxied down many times before — here’s hoping this attempt encounters favorable conditions and successful takeoff, at long last. What do you think? Is it time for viable commercial air service out of Palmdale, Calif.? Click on the link below and check out the story, in this week’s edition of Aerotech.
