Food, snacks make a comeback at Bowling Center after four years

FORT IRWIN, Calif. — The Fort Irwin Family MWR held the grand opening of the Snack Center at the Fort Irwin Desert Winds Bowling Center on Jan. 31.  With much anticipation, Fort Irwin residents can now enjoy a typical bowling menu at the Desert Winds Bowling Center.  The snack bar closed in 2014 when the contract expired and the lanes closed for renovation the same year, reopening in 2016 with a new scoring system, furniture, carpeting, HVAC and minor renovation.  The snack bar is now open and ready to serve the community once again.  The menu includes favorites such as hamburgers, hotdogs, chili dogs, chicken sandwiches, wings, shrimp, nachos, salads, subs and more.
