FORT IRWIN, Calif. — The National Training Center held its annual Volunteer Award Ceremony at the Samuel Adams Event Center to recognize volunteers throughout the community that have supported the National Training Center from Jan. 1 to Dec. 31, 2018. Fort Irwin volunteers had a combined 26,900 volunteer hours in 2018.
All volunteers received a Certificate of Appreciation from the National Training Center Leadership. Honorees included Silvia Noble (NTC Volunteer of the Year, 1,276 volunteer hours); Sarah Barnes (11th ACR Volunteer of the Year, 701 volunteer hours); Damaris Morales Ortiz (MEDDAC, 968 volunteer hours); Michelle Chatman (Operations Group); Erica Lee (ACS/FAP); Jessica Williams (Family Readiness Group-FRG); Coghill Family (Volunteer Family of the Year); Charles Knutson (Soldier Volunteer of the year); Military & Civilians Spouses Club MCSC (Volunteer Organization of the Year); Alexandria Paich (Girl Scout, 975 volunteer hours); Julia Krum (845 volunteer hours); Jessica Williams (739 volunteer hours); Monica Martinez (643 volunteer hours); Mary Ann Snyder (558 volunteer hours); Jodi Rodriguez (515 volunteer hours); Stefanie Fulcher (471 volunteer hours), Jodi Rodriguez.
