FORT IRWIN, Calif.  — Dozens of Fort Irwin residents dug deep into their closets, boxes, garages and cabinets to find items that could be sold to others for better use during the post-wide yard sale on June 1. As residents walked the streets of the 14 communities, you could find everything from shoes and purses, to TVs, bedroom/livingroom sets and bicycles. The event lasted the entire day and many say they were happy to turn their “trash” into someone else’s treasure.
