FORT IRWIN, Calif. — Several residents battled for the title of spookiest house on the block in the Villages’ Halloween home-decorating contest. Judging wrapped up on Oct. 29 and the winner was the James Ryea family in the Sandy Basin community. The winning family receives $100 towards move-out cleaning costs and the grand prize winner received a free “Pay-n-Go” cleaning move out.
