This year we celebrate the Army’s 245th Birthday. Today’s Army is made up of more than 700,000 soldiers.
The Army’s birthday is an annual opportunity to celebrate our soldiers and reflect on the contributions made to our nation.
Across the country, Army installations celebrate with traditional cake cuttings, special meals and fireworks. Here at Fort Irwin, we’ve recognized the oldest and youngest soldier on the installation in past ceremonies. More details will be provided soon on celebratory plans at the National Training Center and Fort Irwin.
