Fire Support is a team sport during Fort Irwin war games training

The 45th Infantry Brigade Combat Team and 1st Battalion 160th Field Artillery, Oklahoma National Guard, are maintaining timely and accurate fires in the heat of the Mojave summer.

From receiving the enemies’ target acquisitions to synchronizing sustainment enables the brigade fires to shape large scale combat operations more favorable to the Thunderbirds. All the planning and synchronization culminates when the howitzers fire their Steel Rain onto the Target.
