The Los Angeles County Air Show Board of Directors said March 23 that the third annual Los Angeles County Air Show had its largest attendance yet with 137,000 spectators over the two-day event at General William J. Fox Airfield in Lancaster March 19-20.
Proceeds from the event will fund several scholarships to regional youth and provide money for the 2017 Air Show said the release.
Team Edwards made its presence felt with a flyover on Saturday by an F-16 from the 416th Flight Test Squadron, and on Sunday with a pass of a B-52 Stratofortress from the 419th Flight Test Squadron.
The base also had a few booths set up to promote the Air Force Flight Test Museum and to promote science, technology, engineering and math (STEM).
Next year’s air show is scheduled for March 25-26 with the main performance to be conducted by the U.S Air Force Thunderbirds.
