The Luke Air Force Base Bryant Fitness Center will undergo state-of-the-art renovations later this year and is scheduled for completion in the spring of 2017. Changes to the gym will require most of the interior walls to be removed, providing open floor plans for cardiovascular and weight lifting areas. Once work areas are cleared, interior demolition and renovation will begin. In addition to some walls being demolished, new interior finishes will be provided throughout the facility such as the new heating, ventilation and air conditioning system for improved air circulation. Low level ceilings will also be opened up to increase the feeling of spaciousness and locker rooms will be relocated with all new plumbing. Finally, a small addition will be constructed for the entry and administrative offices.
