The 56th Security Forces Squadron handled the following incidents March 27 through April 30 at Luke Air Force Base:

SFS issued citations for 51 moving and eight nonmoving violations.
Traffic-related incidents
March 28: SFS responded to a report of a minor two-vehicle accident between a privately owned and a government-owned vehicle. One driver backed into the other in the 56th Logistics Readiness Squadron parking lot, causing multiple scratches and dents. One driver was cited for failure to yield.
March 28: SFS responded to a report of a minor two-government-vehicle accident at Bldg. 298. The individual driving backed into an unoccupied parked vehicle. The individual was cited for inattentive backing.
April 5: SFS responded to a report of a two-vehicle accident. One driver hit a vehicle while backing out of a driveway. No citations were issued.
April 5: SFS responded to a report of a government-owned vs. a fixed object. The driver was attempting a three-point turn when he backed into a fire hydrant. The driver was cited.
April 10: SFS responded to a report of a two-vehicle accident in the dorm parking lot. Both drivers backed out at the same time and collided. No citations were issued.
April 15: SFS responded to a report of a two-vehicle accident at the Base Exchange. A driver struck another vehicle while backing out of a parking space. The individual was cited.
April 19: SFS responded to a report of a two-government-vehicle accident at Bldg. 547. A driver struck another vehicle. The driver was cited.
Emergency responses
March 30: SFS responded to a report of a report of a drug incident at Kachina Gate. A random vehicle inspection uncovered drug paraphernalia. The individual was searched with negative findings. Glendale police cited and released the individual.
April 7: SFS responded to a report of an individual breaking red on the flightline. The individual was apprehended, transported to Bldg. 179, charged and released to the first sergeant.
April 8: SFS responded to a report of an active-duty member driving on a suspended license at Lightning Gate. The individual was charged and released to the first sergeant.
April 11: SFS responded to a report of a gate runner at the Lightning Gate. The individual drove through the outbound lane and was stopped by SFS. The driver was briefed on policy and released.
April 11: SFS responded to a report of a drug incident at South Gate. The nonmilitary affiliated civilian was stopped for having a pill bottle of oxycodone, which expired in 2014. The individual was released and denied access to the installation.
April 17: SFS responded to the South Gate for a warrant’s hit. The individual was wanted out of Glendale for contempt of court. Glendale police extradited the individual.
April 21: SFS responded to a report of a drug incident at the Kachina Gate. During a random vehicle inspection, SFS marijuana and a medical marijuana card in a vehicle. Glendale police responded. The individual was barred from the base for two years.
Nonemergency responses
April 1: SFS identified an unsecured building. The building custodian was contacted to conduct a walk through and secure the building. There were no findings.
April 4: SFS responded to a report of theft of government property. The individuals claimed an unknown subject stole two internal ram cards for a government computer. SFS has no leads at this time.
April 8: SFS identified an unsecured facility at Bldg. 945. The building custodian was contacted to conduct a walk through and secure the building. There were no findings.
April 13: SFS responded to a report of shoplifting at the commissary. The individual departed without paying when a credit card was declined. An investigation is underway.
April 14: SFS responded to a report a verbal altercation. SFS made contact with the subjects, one accusing the other of assault. There is an investigation underway.
April 19: SFS identified an unsecured facility at Bldg. 318. The building custodian was contacted to conduct a walk through and secure the building. There were no findings.
April 20: SFS identified an unsecured facility at Bldg. 1150. The building custodian was contacted to conduct a walk through and secure the building. There were no findings.
Alarm activations
SFS responded to 14 alarm activations on base.
Tip of the month
It is wrong to text while driving on and off base. Texting while driving on base could earn the driver a citation.
