The following is a list of administrative actions issued in March and April at Luke Air Force Base:
56th Maintenance Group
Articles 15
• A staff sergeant received nonjudicial punishment for failing to follow a technical order. The individual received a reduction in rank to senior airman, forfeiture of $400 pay, suspended, 30 days extra duty and a reprimand.
• A staff sergeant received nonjudicial punishment for drunk driving. The individual received a reduction in rank to senior airman, 45 days extra duty, and a reprimand.
• A staff sergeant received nonjudicial punishment for damaging a vehicle mirror by punching it. The individual received a reduction in rank to senior airman, suspended, forfeiture of $448, and a reprimand.
• A staff sergeant received nonjudicial punishment for stealing from the Luke Air Force Base Exchange. The individual received a reduction in rank to senior airman, forfeiture of $1,267, suspended, 45 days extra duty suspended, and a reprimand.
• A senior airman received nonjudicial punishment for wrongful use of marijuana. The individual received a reduction in rank to airman first class, 45 days extra duty and a reprimand.
• A senior airman received nonjudicial punishment for failure to go to work on three training days. The individual received a reduction in rank to airman first class, suspended, forfeiture of $396, seven days extra duty, and a reprimand.
• An airman first class received nonjudicial punishment for failure to go to work on time. The individual received a reduction in rank to airman, suspended, 45 days extra duty, with 15 days suspended, restriction to Luke AFB for 45 days with 15 days suspended, and a reprimand.
• An airman received nonjudicial punishment for drunkenness – incapacitation for performance of duties and underage drinking. The individual received a reduction in rank to airman basic, 45 days extra duty, with 24 days suspended, and a reprimand.
• An airman received nonjudicial punishment for underage drinking. The individual received a reduction in rank to airman basic, suspended, 30 days extra duty, and a reprimand.
Administrative discharges
• An airman first class was discharged for minor disciplinary infractions.
• A senior airman was discharged for unwillingness to cooperate in alcohol abuse treatment.
• An airman first class was discharged for an adjustment disorder.
• An airman was discharged for commission of a serious offense.
Administrative demotions
• An airman first class was demoted to the rank of airman for failure to fulfill responsibilities.
• An airman first class was demoted to the rank of airman for failure to fulfill responsibilities.
• An airman first class was demoted to the rank of Airman for failure to fulfill responsibilities.
56th Mission Support Group
Articles 15
• A senior airman received nonjudicial punishment for failure to pay child support and making a false official statement by saying he was not married and did not have a child. The individual received a reduction in rank to airman first class, suspended, forfeiture of $500 pay per month for two months, with one month suspended, and a reprimand.
• A senior airman received nonjudicial punishment for wrongful use of marijuana. The individual received a reduction in rank to airman first class and a reprimand.
Administrative discharges
• An airman was discharged for conditions interfering with military service.
Administrative demotions
• A technical sergeant was demoted to the rank of staff sergeant for failure to fulfill responsibilities.
56th Medical Group
Articles 15
• A technical sergeant received nonjudicial punishment for absence without leave. The individual received a forfeiture of $937 pay per month for two months, with one month suspended, and a reprimand.
Punishments for similar offenses may vary from case to case based on the circumstances of the offense and factors such as an offender’s age, military and disciplinary record, financial condition, and suitability for continued service.
