Master Sgt. Nina Brown, 54th Maintenance Squadron, 56th Fighter Wing, Holloman Air Force Base, New Mexico
“Sergeant Brown expertly reflowed engine cycle consumption, which prevented 32 early engine removals, saving 7,600 man hours and more than $300,000 in replacement costs, said Brig. Gen. Brook Leonard, 56th Fighter Wing commander. “She has collected more than 1,000 backpacks and 10,000 school supplies in 12 years to help children living in shelters. She started the first ‘Backpacks of Love’ drive ensuring more than 60 children a year, many of whom were victims of domestic violence, had clothing and school supplies.”
