The 56th Security Forces Squadron handled the following incidents Sept. 25 through Oct. 22 at Luke Air Force Base:
Tickets
SFS issued citations for 77 moving and nine nonmoving violations.
Traffic-related incidents
Sept. 27: SFS responded to a report of a minor two-vehicle accident at the medical facility. A vehicle struck another vehicle while backing up. There were no injuries.
Sept. 27: SFS responded to a report of a vehicle with a fictitious license plate. SFS charged the operator of the car with Article 92, failure to obey a lawful order or regulation, and transported the individual to Bldg. 179.
Sept. 30: SFS responded to a report of a strong alcohol odor coming from inside a vehicle. SFS determined the driver was not intoxicated but an underage passenger was intoxicated. SFS apprehended and charged the subject with Article 92, failure to obey a lawful order or regulation.
Oct. 2: SFS responded to a report of a two-vehicle accident at the intersection of Super Saber and Fighter Country Avenue. A government-owned vehicle had rear-ended a privately owned vehicle. SFS issued one citation. There were no injuries.
Oct. 2: SFS responded to a report of damage to private property in the parking lot of Bldg. 485. The driver said there were three scratches approximately 10- to 13-inches long on the front passenger-side bumper. SFS has no leads at this time.
Oct. 4: SFS responded to a report of a two-vehicle accident in the parking lot of Bldg. 1150. There were no injuries.
Oct. 13: SFS responded to a report of a minor two-vehicle accident in Bldg. 1130 parking lot. While backing, one vehicle hit the second vehicle. SFS issued one citation. There were no injuries.
Oct. 13: SFS responded to a report of a minor two-vehicle accident at the Luke AFB Exchange parking garage. The driver backed into a parked car causing damage to front driver side bumper. SFS issued one citation. There were no injuries.
Oct. 17: SFS responded to a two-vehicle accident in the Bldg. 312 parking lot. While pulling into a parking spot, one vehicle hit the second scraping the side mirror. There were no injuires.
Oct. 22: SFS responded to a two-vehicle accident in the Luke AFB Chapel parking lot. While backing, one vehicle hit the second vehicle. SFS issued one citation. There were no injuries.
Emergency responses
Sept. 28: SFS responded to a report of a warrant’s hit from Buckeye. Buckeye police responded and took the individual into custody.
Sept. 28: SFS responded to a report of a medical emergency at the base track. The patient complained of chest pain and was transported to Abrazo West Hospital via Southwest Ambulance.
Oct. 7: SFS responded to a report of a warrant’s hit at South Gate Visitor Center. The individual was a nonmilitary-affiliated civilian with a court order violation out of Phoenix. Phoenix police responded and took control of the situation.
Oct. 7: SFS responded to a report of a medical emergency at the base gym. The patient had fallen and received an injury to the knee. Luke firefighters treated and released the patient on scene.
Oct. 8: SFS responded to a report of a medical emergency at the Luke AFB Exchange. An individual had passed out, but was alert and responsive when SFS arrived. The patient was transported to Abrazo West via Southwest Ambulance.
Oct. 9: SFS responded to a report of a warrant’s hit at South Gate Visitor Center. The individual was a nonmilitary-affiliated civilian with a court order violation out of Peoria. Peoria police responded and took control of the situation.
Oct. 10: SFS and firefighters responded to a report of a medical emergency at the Luke AFB Exchange. The patient had fallen, was treated on scene and released.
Oct. 16: SFS responded to a report of a medical emergency at the base track. The patient complained of faintness and chest pain. The patient was transported to Abrazo West Hospital.
Oct. 20: SFS responded to a report of a medical emergency at Bldg. 471. SFS treated on scene and released the individual.
Oct. 21: SFS responded to a report of a medical emergency at the base track. The patient was complaining of shortness of breath. The patient was transported to Abrazo West Hospital.
Oct. 21: SFS responded to a report of a medical emergency at the base gym. SFS treated on scene and released the individual.
Nonemergency responses
Sept. 26: SFS responded to a report of drugs present at South Gate Search Pit. While conducting a routine vehicle search, an SFS member observed a green, leafy substance in a vehicle. The operators of the vehicle were civilian contractors working on base. Glendale police responded and took control.
Oct. 3: SFS responded to a report of an altercation in base housing involving two children. The victim stated another child had thrown rocks at and shoved the victim. There were no charges.
Oct. 4: SFS and firefighters responded to a report of a fire alarm at Bldg. 546. Upon investigation, SFS discovered the subject was using an electronic smoking device inside a dorm room. SFS charged the individual with Article 92, failure to obey a lawful order or regulation.
Oct. 9: SFS responded to a building alarm at Bldg. 915. It was determined to be a security incident due to unsecure resources inside the hangar. SFS charged one individual with Article 92, failure to obey an order or regulation.
