The 56th Security Forces Squadron handled the following incidents Nov. 20 through Dec. 17 at Luke Air Force Base

SFS issued citations for 67 moving and three non-moving violations.
Traffic-related accidents
Dec. 6: SFS responded to a report of a minor vehicle accident at the Bldg. 1384 parking lot due to inattentive backing by one of the drivers. SFS issued one citation.
Dec. 6: SFS observed an odor of marijuana emitting from a vehicle at Golf-3 Lightning Gate. After investigation, SFS discovered one of the passengers was a registered sex offender. The passenger was denied access to base. The spouse of one of the subjects arrived at the Kachina Gate to pick them up. While vetting, SFS discovered an outstanding warrant from Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office for obstruction of justice. A county officer arrived and took control.
Dec. 7: SFS responded to a report of a minor vehicle accident at Bldg. 1552/military clothing due to inattentive backing. SFS issued two citations.
Dec. 7: SFS responded to a report of damage to a vehicle at in Bldg. 908 parking lot. SFS has no current leads.
Dec. 12: SFS responded to a report of a minor vehicle accident at Bldg. 1540/Base Exchange parking lot due to inattentive backing by one of the drivers. SFS issued one citation.
Dec. 14: SFS responded to a report of a minor vehicle accident at Bldg. 750 parking lot due to inattentive backing. SFS issued one citation.
Dec. 15: SFS responded to a report of a minor vehicle accident at Bldg. 1540/Base Exchange parking lot due to a truck striking a hanging height clearance sign.
Dec. 16: SFS responded to a report of an outstanding warrant at South Gate Visitor Center out of Scottsdale City Court for extreme DUI and failure to appear. The city denied extradition. The subject was denied entry and escorted off the installation.

Nov. 20: SFS responded to a report of a medical emergency at the base track. The patient had lost consciousness and was transported to Abrazo West for treatment.

Nov. 21: SFS responded to a report of a medical emergency at the Bryant Fitness Center. The patient was complaining of an ankle injury. The patient was transported to Abrazo West for treatment.
Nov. 22: SFS responded to a report of a medical emergency following a minor vehicle accident at the intersection of Harris and Marauder streets. The driver lost control of a motorcycle causing it to fall on the driver. The driver refused medical treatment.
Nov. 22: SFS responded to a report of a medical emergency at Bldg. 546. The patient was convulsing and had hives. The patient was transported to Abrazo West for treatment.
Nov. 27: SFS responded to a report of a medical emergency at the base track. The patient was complaining of chest pains and was transported to Abrazo West for treatment.
Nov. 28: SFS responded to a report of a medical emergency at the base track. The patient was complaining of chest pains. The patient was transported to Abrazo West for treatment.
Nov. 28: SFS responded to a report of a medical emergency at the base exchange. The patient was complaining of dizziness and trouble standing. The patient was treated and released on scene.
Nov. 29: SFS responded to a report of a medical emergency at the base track. The patient was complaining of difficulty breathing and chest pains, and was transported to Abrazo West for treatment.
Nov. 29: SFS responded to a report of a major vehicle accident off base at Glendale Avenue and Dysart Road. SFS assisted with traffic control and Glendale police took control.
Nov. 29: SFS responded to a report of a medical emergency at Bldg. 546. The patient was convulsing and had hives. The patient was transported to Abrazo West for treatment.
Dec. 2: SFS responded to a report of a medical emergency at the base track. The patient was complaining of an ACL injury. The patient was transported to Abrazo West for treatment.
Dec. 4: SFS responded to a report of a fire alarm in a dormitory. It was due to an individual smoking an electronic cigarette inside a private room. The subject was charged with failure to obey a lawful order for smoking in an unlawful area.
Dec. 7: SFS responded to a report of a medical emergency at Bldg. 983. The patient was had lost consciousness and was transported to Abrazo West for treatment.
Dec. 10: SFS responded to a report of a fire alarm in the dormitory. It was due to an individual smoking an electronic cigarette inside a private room. The subject was charged with failure to obey a lawful order for smoking in an unlawful area.
Dec. 12: SFS responded to a report of a medical emergency at Bldg. 908. The patient had head lacerations and was transported to Abrazo West for treatment.
Dec. 13: SFS responded to a report of a medical emergency at the base track. The patient was complaining of shortness of breath and chest pains. The patient was transported to Abrazo West for treatment.
Dec. 13: SFS responded to a request for a military working dog at the EL Mirage Elementary school. SFS conducted a dog sweep at the school with negative findings.
Nonemergency responses
Nov. 24: SFS identified a drunk driver at South Gate. Glendale police responded and charged the driver with DUI.
Nov. 24: SFS responded to a report of shoplifting at the Base Exchange. Glendale police responded, cited the subject for shoplifting and released the subject to the sponsor.
