The 56th Security Forces Squadron handled the following incidents Jan. 21 through Feb. 18 at Luke Air Force Base:
Tickets
SFS issued citations for 69 moving violations and 20 nonmoving violations.
Traffic accidents
Jan. 23: SFS and firefighters responded to a report of a major vehicle accident at Kachina Gate on Litchfield Road. An individual on a motorcycle stopped at the light was injured when the motorcycle was struck by another vehicle. Glendale police responded and Goodyear Fire assisted with the injured person who was transported to Abrazo West via ambulance.
Jan. 25: SFS responded to a report of a major two-vehicle accident at the intersection of Thunderbird and Kachina streets. There were no injuries.
Feb. 4: SFS responded to a report of a minor vehicle accident at the shoppette due to inattentive backing. SFS issued one citation.
Feb. 9: SFS responded to a report of a minor vehicle accident at Bldg. 983 due to inattentive backing. SFS issued no citations.
Feb. 11: SFS responded to a report of a minor vehicle accident at Bldg. 1540. The vehicle was damaged by a vehicle that had fled the scene. SFS is investigating the incident.
Emergency responses
Jan. 24: SFS responded to a report of a medical emergency at Bldg. 1130. An individual was complaining of chest pains and was transported to Abrazo West.
Jan. 24: SFS responded to a report of a domestic disturbance in base housing. Glendale police responded and separated the subject and victim for the night.
Jan. 30: SFS responded to a report of a medical emergency at Bldg. 983. An individual was suffering from a possible concussion and was transported to Abrazo West.
Feb. 2: SFS responded to a report of a medical emergency at the base gym. An individual had broken an ankle and was transported to Abrazo West.
Feb. 3: SFS responded to a report of a medical emergency at Command Drive. An individual was having difficulty breathing and was transported to Phoenix Children’s Hospital.
Feb. 5: SFS responded to a report of a medical emergency at Bldg. 1150. An individual was complaining of a possible heart attack, was treated on scene and refused medical transport.
Feb. 5: SFS responded to a report of a medical emergency at Bldg. 820. An individual was complaining of a possible heart attack, was treated on scene and refused medical transport.
Feb. 5: SFS responded to a report of a medical emergency at Bldg. 1515. An individual lost consciousness and sustained a head injury. The individual was transported to Abrazo West.
Feb. 6: SFS responded to a report of a medical emergency at Bldg. 1514. An individual had fallen, was treated on scene and released.
Feb. 7: SFS responded to a report of a medical emergency in base housing. An individual was suffering from high blood pressure and was transported to Abrazo West.
Feb. 10: SFS responded to a report of a medical emergency in base housing. An individual was complaining of a possible stroke and was transported to Abrazo West.
Feb. 17: SFS responded to a report of a medical emergency in housing. An individual was suffering from anemia and was transported to Abrazo West.
Nonemergency responses
Jan. 28: SFS responded to a report of an underage individual in the dormitories. The individual had departed and was located by a gate guard performing a random vehicle inspection. The resident of the dorm was contacted and requested to verify information. The resident confirmed the story and was charged with Article 92.
Jan. 31: SFS responded to a report of juvenile shoplifting at the shoppette. The subject left the shoppette without paying for chips and soda. The subject’s parents were contacted, and the juvenile was denied Luke Air Force Base Exchange privileges.
Feb. 16: SFS responded to a report of a dormitory party at Bldg. 546. SFS detected alcohol was being consumed and minors were drinking as well. SFS charged four individuals and released them to their first sergeants.

SFS responded to a report of 13 alarm activations on base.
