The 56th Security Forces Squadron handled the following incidents May 21 through June 24 at Luke Air Force Base:
Tickets
SFS issued traffic citations for 52 moving violations and 25 nonmoving violations.
Traffic accidents
May 21: SFS responded to a report of a minor vehicle accident at Bldg. 586. A driver struck another vehicle while parking. There were no injuries.
May 21: SFS responded to a report of a minor vehicle accident on the flightline. A truck struck on overhanging pole causing the windshield to shatter and dented the driver door. There were no injuries.
May 21: SFS responded to a report of a major vehicle accident on Super Sabre Street and Johnson Lane. A driver had rear-ended another vehicle. The driver of the rear-ended vehicle complained of back pain. Medical responded and transported the patient to Abrazo West.
May 24: SFS responded to a report of a major vehicle accident at the intersection of Jerstad Street and Mustang Street. A driver struck the passenger side of another vehicle rendering both vehicles inoperable. There were no injuries.
May 29: SFS responded to a report of a major vehicle accident on Bong Lane and Eagle Street. A drive proceeded through the intersection not observing a motorcycle also proceeding through the intersection. Both vehicles were damaged and one driver was injured. SFS issued two citations for the incident.
June 11: SFS responded to a report of a minor vehicle accident at Bldg. 920. The driver of the vehicle had struck a door latch to a garage door. SFS did not cite for the accident.
June 18: SFS responded to a report of a minor vehicle accident at South Gate Visitor Center. The driver of the vehicle returned to the car and noticed an eight-inch dent on the rear passenger bumper. The driver of the other vehicle left the scene without giving insurance information. SFS did not cite for the incident.
Emergency responses
May 22: SFS responded to a report of a warrant’s hit at South Gate for DUI from West Mesa Justice Courts. Glendale police responded and took control.
May 24: SFS responded to a report of a medical emergency at Bldg. 1130. The patient had a seizure and was transported to Abrazo West for treatment.
May 29: SFS responded to a report of a medical emergency at Bldg. 634. The patient was having a seizure and was transported to Abrazo West.
May 30: SFS responded to a report of a medical emergency at Bldg. 460. The patient was having a seizure and was transported to Abrazo West.
May 30: SFS apprehended an individual driving with a suspended license, had the vehicle towed and charged the subject with Article 92, failure to obey a lawful order or regulation.
May 31: SFS responded to a report of a medical emergency at Bldg. 1130. The patient was in and out of consciousness, and was transported to Abrazo West.
June 1: SFS responded to a report of a medical emergency in base housing. The patient was complaining of post-surgery nausea/dizziness and was transported to Abrazo West.
June 1: SFS responded to a report of a medical emergency in base housing. The patient was complaining of blacking out and abdominal pain, and was transported to Del Webb Hospital.
June 2: SFS responded to a report of a leg injury at the base track and was transported to Abrazo West.
June 4: SFS responded to a report of a medical emergency at the base track. The patient was suffering from dizziness and vomiting and was treated on the scene.
June 4: SFS responded to a report of an unattended child in base housing. Moments later SFS received a phone call reporting a missing child that matched the unattended child’s description. SFS reunited the mother with the child.
June 8: SFS observed a gate runner at the Kachina Gate. The driver was instructed to go to the visitor center to obtain a pass onto base. The driver then proceeded onto base disobeying instructions. The military member was charged with Article 92 and Article 95. The nonmilitary member was charged with trespassing.
June 12: SFS responded to a report of an individual who sustained an injury when tripping over a curb at the Luke AFB Exchange parking garage. The patient was treated and released on scene.
June 14: SFS responded to a report of a medical emergency at Bldg. 914. The patient had lost consciousness and was transported to Abrazo West.
June 15: SFS observed three military members jumping the wall at Lalomi Road near Ocotillo Gate. SFS charged them with Article 92, failure to obey a lawful order.
June 16: SFS responded to a report of an individual complaining of dizziness and abdominal pain at Bldg. 546. The patient was transported to Abrazo West.
June 22: SFS responded to a report of a mental collapse or breakdown of a subject at the Bldg. 859 parking lot. The patient was transported to a valley hospital.
June 23: SFS responded to a report of a deep gash on the right-hand ring finger of a subject sustained while breaking a window in base housing. The individual was transported to Abrazo West.
Nonemergency responses
June 1: SFS responded to a report of a shoplifting at Bldg. 1540. The subject had left the store with $351.06 worth of merchandise without rendering payment. Upon arrival it was determined one of the subjects had a mood disorder and needed medical attention. The subject was transported to Abrazo West for treatment while the other subject was issued a debarment order from Luke AFB and received charges from Glendale police.
June 4: SFS received a warrant’s hit at Kachina Gate out of Mesa City Court for failure to appear. Glendale police took control of the situation.
June 18: SFS received a warrant’s hit on Arizona Criminal Justice Information System during a traffic stop near the Exchange parking garage. The warrant was for the offense of post adjudication rule from Maricopa County. The issuing agency denied extradition. Glendale police took control of the situation.
June 18: SFS detected an odor of marijuana emitting from a vehicle driven by a nonmilitary person at South Gate. Glendale police responded.
June 19: SFS responded to a warrant’s hit at Lightning Gate for the offense of failure to appear out of Country Meadow Justice Court. The issuing agency was contacted and wanted to extradite the subject. Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office responded.

SFS responded to 20 alarm activations on base.
