Military Housing Office makes move smooth
The Military Housing Office helps the military family have a smooth move to Luke Air Force Base and ensures families are well informed about housing options and services available to them – Airmen, retirees and civilians.
The mission of the Military Housing Office is to provide military families priority-access to safe, quality, well-maintained, affordable housing both on and off base. The housing management office also provides general oversight of the Military Housing Privatization Initiative. MHO members are available to assist clients in any way with a move for those assigned to Luke.
All newly assigned personnel are required to contact the local MHO for counseling and guidance before entering into any agreement, written lease or rental/sales contract for housing. The MHO staff is available to assist in your transition to Luke AFB and to provide assistance in locating housing (temporary or permanent) on and off-base. Providing important information about your housing options and the local community to make sure you have a smooth PCS move, the services and assistance offered by the local MHO often save time and money by making you aware of the regulations governing off-base housing. The MHO strives to develop a sense of community that starts before members arrive at Luke AFB and recognize the effort behind this transition. The MHO wants to make sure members are satisfied with the details of their move. To obtain referral and relocation assistance, members are encouraged to reach out for personalized services provided by the housing management office staff.
Luke AFB is a privatized military family housing operation
The Balfour Beatty Communities, known as the project owner, owns the family housing and is responsible to maintain, repair, construct and manage housing. In addition to an option to purchase and rent housing in the local community, you now may choose to live in Privatized Housing by signing a tenant lease agreement with Balfour Beatty Communities.
