Fort Irwin is scheduled to start construction and renovations to improve the quality of life of Fort Irwin residents. The Quality of Life Assessment included focus groups involving soldiers, spouses and teens. During the May 21 Facebook Live update, Brig. Gen. David Lesperance announced the results of the quality of life assessment which started in October 2019. These are the confirmed upgrades:

· The Bowling Center

· Warrior Zone: Soldier Entertainment Facility

· The Shockwave restoration

· Expanding the Outdoor Recreation

· Outdoor Recreation equipment purchases including mountain bikes, Razor vehicles, and Dune Buggies

· Adding a Lazy river swimming pool

· The construction of a new indoor recreation facility
